Entity responsible for overseeing, supervising and controlling the legal disposition compliance for the functioning of the Sistema de Ahorro para Pensiones y del Sistema de Pensiones Público (Pension Saving System and Public Pension System), particularly those coming from the pension funds managers (AFP, in Spanish) from the pension division of the Salvadoran social service institute (UPISSS)and the national public employees' pension institute (INPEP), as well as promoting the development of pension system in an organized, clear, efficient and profitable fashion.
