The Inter-American Federation of Insurance Companies (FIDES) is a non-profit organization that groups insurance associations from Latin American countries as well as the US and Iberian Peninsula. It is responsible for stimulating the development of the insurance and reinsurance sectors, defending private entrepreneurship, and promoting ethical and technical standards and legislation in all sector-related activities.
The organization comprises a number of working committees and a general secretariat tasked with representing the federation.
El Salvador's non-profit insurance association ASES groups together local and foreign private insurers authorized to operate in the country. It is responsible for developing, strengthening and working on behalf of the private insurance industry, in addition to carrying out activities that support the interests of the sector.
