Ecuadorian internet and IT service providers association Aeprovi works to protect, expand, and develop the internet as a means to promote social, economic, political and cultural development. Its duties include overseeing the sector’s development, strengthening cooperation ties between the public and private sectors, and encouraging technology and business evolution between member companies.
In June 2004, the country’s foreign trade and competition ministry Micip approved modifications to the statute regarding the association’s name.
The association has 37 members and is based in Quito.
