AAA is a government agency that controls all water supply and distribution in Puerto Rico. All operations have been transferred to Puerto Rican Compañía de Aguas, a subsidiary of French Vivendi.

Government agency created in 1978. It establishes and carries out public policies for solid waste management in Puerto Rico. It evaluates, plans and implements strategies to manage this sector in order to protect the environment, public health and conserve the country's natural resources.

Department that depends of Gabinete Constitucional del Gobernador (Governor Cabinet), in charge of the formulation and implementation of environmental policies and protection and preservation of natural, environmental and energetic resources.
It was created in1972 and reorganized in 1993.
